At Yamaha, I have received professional workplace experience. Throughout my time with this company, I have written and edited technical manuals with a focus on the information/instructional design of each page. I produce a bi-monthly outboard magazine and create marketing and graphic design material for the publication and Yamaha Marine Service. I have worked with printers and assisted with the distribution of materials. To complete this job, I could not be shy to approach subject matter experts or scared to present large scale presentations to upper management.

At this automotive body shop, I single-handedly managed the office. From writing estimates to scheduling employees, I covered all managerial bases for this company. I interacted with customers, ordered parts, and wrote estimates for vehicles of all shapes and sizes. I worked side by side with insurance companies, requiring me to follow specific guidelines to streamline the claims process. This job taught me that completing paperwork in an efficient and organized fashion and being a team player is the fastest way to succeed.
May 2015 - June 2017
In this position, I received hands-on automotive experience. As a service writer, I dealt one on one with a team of mechanics, ensuring they received the correct parts, and checking that their estimates were written with correct labor times. Being one on one with techs allowed me to gain automotive knowledge, tips, tricks, and experience as I was able to assist with many repairs and engine builds. At this shop, I also ran the office, answering the telephone, scheduling and interacting with customers, and maintaining organization.

PARTS COUNTER SALESMAN AND KEY HOLDER
I had management responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, merchandising, inventory, and extensive roles in customer service. This position was extremely fast-paced, requiring me to handle customers, answer phones, and manage my crew over an 8-hour day. I learned the ins and outs of the automotive industry and gained the majority of my automotive parts knowledge here. I valued this job the most due to the vast demographic of customers that grew to know and trust me with their mechanical needs. I was able to communicate effectively with each customer that entered the store, regardless of their mechanical knowledge, age, or gender.
